2016 Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the 2016 Annual General Meeting of the Apollo Bay & District Health Foundation Inc.B will be held on Saturday 12th November 2016 at the Apollo Bay Community Centre, 4 Whelan St, Apollo Bay (formerly Senior Citizens) at 3pm. Please note change of venue.

We will be presenting Grants totalling $43,510 from Health Foundation funds for the year ended 30 June 2016.B We will also be acknowledging grants of $45,000 made to organisations who made a significant contribution to the successful Great Ocean Road Marathon in May this year.

Our Grants, including funding of new projects within our district, would not be possible without the support of our Members and the generous bequests left to the Health Foundation. We encourage everyone to consider making a bequest to the Apollo Bay and District Foundation to enable us to continue supporting the community, now and in the future.

We are also very pleased to advise that our Guest speaker this year is Julie Sestan, CEO Community Care Chemist

Our guest speaker, Tiffany Holt, Principal of Apollo Bay P-12 College, inspired us all with her vision of how to deliver extraordinary outcomes by working together.

Grants were also made to the following groups for supporting the Great Ocean Marathon.B Apollo Bay P-12 College, Apollo Bay Preschool, Apollo Bay Sailing Club, Wye River CFA, Wye River Surf Life Saving Club, Kennett River Progress Association and Apollo Bay Community Website Inc.

What a year itbs been b In total we were able to distribute $92,000B for the health and wellbeing of our community.

Call for 2014 Grant Applications

  • Be a not-for-profit organisation.

    The Marathon's Healthy Community Connections

    The Apollo Bay & District Health Foundation is pleased and proud to announce that as a result of the fantastic fundraising efforts of the runners, the generosity of our major sponsors and other supporters, the enthusiastic volunteering by local groups and the fabulous support of our community, we managed to raise more than $37,500 through the Great Ocean Road Marathon to distribute back into our community, as follows:

    Health Foundation Chairman, Andrew (Buck) Buchanan said bWe are absolutely delighted with this result and hope that not only will it benefit the programs of our local not-for-profit organisations, but also increase the capacity of our community to work together towards shared goals.B Of course, none of this would have been possible without the generosity of our major sponsors, Bendigo Bank and the Apollo Bay News Sheet, and the support of SLM Law and Community Care Chemistb.
